In June 2022, Cancer Kids First ambassador Veda led an impactful initiative at Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute. To mark the hospital CEO’s birthday, pediatric cancer patients were invited to gather for a celebration where each child received a gift bag filled with toys, treats, and comfort items. The event brought joy to patients and their
families, creating cherished moments during an otherwise difficult journey.
Beyond this celebration, CKF also partnered with Aroh to raise funds for a transformative project: the construction of a free cancer ward. This facility aims to provide high-quality treatment and care to patients who may otherwise be unable to afford it, helping reduce the financial burden on families while expanding access to critical services.
Through these efforts, CKF’s work in India has touched both the personal and systemic aspects of childhood cancer care—brightening individual lives while contributing to long-term healthcare support for children and families in need.
