Mexico

Mexico has been a priority for Cancer Kids First due to the significant lack of funding and limited access to treatment many pediatric cancer patients face. Through partnerships with local organizations and the work of our CKF Mexico chapter, we have been able to extend support to countless children and families through programs such as Arts and Toys/Books.
In August and September 2021, CKF led a fundraising initiative to purchase and deliver school supplies to Fundación Tmona in Mexico.

Around September 16, CKF ambassador Daniella personally brought hundreds of brand-new supplies across the border. She spent time speaking with patients, listening to their stories, and learning from their resilience. For many of us, shopping for new school supplies has been a routine back-to-school tradition, but for children battling cancer in Mexico, this is often out of reach. Our donations not only met a practical need but also created joy and excitement that made the return to school a little brighter.

Later that fall, CKF partnered with World Child Cancer to expand our impact even further. Together, we sent nearly 1,000 inspirational cards to pediatric cancer hospitals across the country. Donated funds also helped support oncologist training sessions and the development of teaching hospitals, strengthening the medical infrastructure that serves children with cancer.

From providing tangible resources like toys and school supplies to contributing toward long-term healthcare improvements, CKF’s presence in Mexico continues to focus on addressing immediate needs while laying the foundation for sustainable change.
