The Philippines, classified as a lower-middle-income country, faces significant challenges in pediatric cancer care. According to the World Health Organization, an estimated 4,700 children are expected to be diagnosed with cancer each year. For many families, the high cost of medical treatment combined with limited access to high-quality care creates overwhelming financial and emotional strain.
Cancer Kids First has worked to ease this burden by providing direct financial assistance to approximately 10 families in the Philippines. While this support has offered immediate relief, the need remains great, and CKF is committed to expanding its impact in the years ahead. Our long-term goal is to increase outreach and resources so that more children can access the treatment and support they deserve.
