Hi, I am Sairah, a first-year at the University of Pittsburgh studying in the LECOM 4+4 B.S/D.O. Program. I am one of the Care Package Directors at Cancer Kids First. I am a Biology major with a double minor in Chemistry and Counseling Psychology. Some of my favorite hobbies are reading, listening to music, thrifting, and trying new cafes with friends in my city!

 

I joined CKF because, as someone with family members who suffered through cancer, I know firsthand the hardships that such a tragedy brings. Working with this nonprofit has helped me turn my helplessness into hope, channeling my desire to help others into real, meaningful work that makes a true difference in the lives of the kids I work with. As Director of Care Packages, I oversee the creation of personalized care packages tailored to each child’s interests and needs, collaborating with companies to provide thoughtful gifts and goodies that bring joy and brighten their day!
